National Children's Book Week

Come Celebrate National Children's Book Week at the Girard Public Library November 14th-18th. This year Kansas has adopted the theme "Read to a Tot No Matter What."

Monday, come for a movie and free popcorn form 3:30 - 5:30. Be sure to visit the library on Tuesday for Tot Giveaway Day, receive a coupon for a free order of tater tots from Girard Sonic. Thrusday is our Pajama Party 4:30 - 5:30. Don't miss the book bag drawing on Friday!

TAG Fundraiser Takes Off

The Girard Public Library Teen Advisory Group has begun their fall fundraiser! Our hard working teen volunteers are once again canvasing the town selling Little Caesars Pizza Kits, Little Caesars Cookie Dough, and, new this time, Little Caesars Pie Kits. Delivery date for orders is November 18th, just in time for Thanksgiving!

Proceeds from this fundraiser help to purchase new young adult materials and provide for teen programing at the Library. Orders can be placed with any of our TAG members, at the main Circulation Desk on the upper floor of the Library, and at the childrens circulation desk. Payment must be made at time of order, but checks will not be cashed until November 18th. Kits can be stored in the referigerator for a couple of weeks or frozen for months!

This is our largest TAG group yet. Please help them reach their ambitious goal of 100 items sold!
